Combining the exuberance of youth with the wisdom of the ages, hailing from Detroit’s East Side, and sharing little more than gender, religion, and the search for approval from the women in their lives, this five-piece consistently draw their inspiration from the raw and diverse well-spring of Detroit.

A singular cacophony welded from an intense heat borne of guitar, organ, vocals, and amps, the Nickels repeatedly reach for unique notes and chords to ring out over a firmly-laid foundation of percussion.

Listeners will also soon recognize their signature infrequent dollop of melody, or harmony, typically the happy circumstance of sounds and chords meticulously orchestrated to crash together during a 3.5 minute time period.
